Healing Heart Yoga and Ayurveda
Ancient wisdom for a life of health & wellness

About

Beverly McCulloch ...
The founder of Healing Heart Yoga, Beverly has a passion for living and sharing Yoga and the lifestyle of Ayurveda for healing and general health and wellbeing. She believes in teaching Yoga to suit the ever changing needs of each individual on all dimensions and respecting function over form. A core philosophy of Healing Heart Yoga is to always care.
Originally from the Manning Valley, Beverly has lived in various towns and cities in Australia and the UK but is now happy to have returned back 'home'.
Almost 30 years ago Beverly was first introduced to Yoga by her then partner and now husband, Matthew. From that very first class she formed a love of Yoga which continues to grow and thrive. She has had her own daily practice for over 25 years and a dedicated personal practice for the past 20 years.
In 2011 she travelled to India for studies at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram (KYM) in Chennai - a definitive turning point in her life. Finding the Yoga authentic and practical, although already a certified Yoga teacher, Beverly then commenced further studies with Agama Yoga Centre for Health & Healing in Melbourne to train to teach in the tradition of Sri T Krishnamacharya, widely regarded as one of the most influential yogis of modern times. He taught yoga as it applied to the student in front of him so that it was beneficial for the changing needs of the person, traditionally teaching one on one and also applying yoga in a therapeutic manner. In the same year she commenced studies in India in Yoga Therapy where Yoga is applied for healing.
Classes are currently held in Taree (NSW) and surrounding areas.
