Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy empowers individuals in their own healing process or general wellness.  The principles of Yoga are applied using the most appropriate and accessible practices to support this healing process, Yoga Therapy can be a valuable tool in reducing symptoms, managing illness and maintaining overall health and wellbeing. It is a non-invasive complementary tool to other health modalities.  Unlike other treatments and modalities, Yoga Therapy is an active process where healing depends on the commitment and active participation and desire of the person seeking care/treatment (Care Seeker).

Yoga Therapy treats each person as a unique individual with a unique set of circumstances which has contributed to the condition they are experiencing. Using a multi-dimensional approach (physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual) all factors that make the individual – lifestyle, diet, age, stage of life, environment, emotional wellbeing, work, medical and family history – are all considered.

Personal programs are then developed that fit with the individual’s needs, capacity and commitment. Private sessions are held where progress is continually assessed, modifying and adjusting according to the changes occurring. Each practice is drawn for you to take and practice daily at home.

Yoga Therapy is a commitment to your own health and wellbeing. The Yoga Therapy Starter Program is a commitment of four sessions for a total investment of $300.

  • First session: approximately 1 ½ hours - includes consultation and practice

It is important to remember that Yoga is a healing process and healing can take time. After the fourth session, it is recommended that you return for a review of your in 4 - 6  weeks time or earlier if you feel there is something that has changed for you.
