Understanding the Mind

The Psychology & Philosophy of Ayurveda and Yoga

  • Started 28 May
  • 120 Australian dollars
  • Online - Zoom

Service Description

This 6 week online program will delve into the psychology of the mind through Ayurveda and the philosophy of Yoga. In Classical Yoga, the mind is seen as the source of our suffering. In the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the goal of yoga is to reduce our suffering by clearing and calming the mind. Although many may see the sister science of Ayurveda as a path of healing for the body, it too is a method of healing psychological diseases as well as physical. Ayurveda holds the view that diseases stem from making poor choices, attitudes and misuse of our senses which all stem from psychological factors which form the root of most diseases. Each week will build on the previous - linking each class as the course progresses. The first week will include an overview of Ayurveda and Yoga's perspective of the mind before we start to delve deeper with each class. Zoom link will be forwarded on confirmation of payment. PAYMENT OPTIONS - by direct deposit or Credit/Debit Card - Pay in full - $120 - Direct Debit weekly - $25
