Sound Alchemy is a 3-hour face-to-face workshop, offering a unique blend of active and passive sound healing led by Beverly McCulloch of Healing Heart Yoga & Ayurveda and Dianne Juteram of Sacred Wisdom, both of whom bring a wealth of experience and a shared passion for using sound for healing. 

Active Sound Healing: Chanting engages participants in using their own voices to produce vibrations within their bodies, creating an active and participatory experience.

Passive Sound Healing: Sound healing through the crystal bowls is a passive experience where participants simply open themselves to receive the unique vibrations, allowing the sounds to wash over and heal them.

Traditionally, mantras from the sacred Vedas were transmitted orally through the art of chanting, known as Veda-adhyanam. This workshop embraces this ancient method to teach the Gayatri Mantra, regarded as the Mother of the Vedas. The unique vibrations of the Gayatri Mantra are believed to open and link all the chakras in the body, creating an uninterrupted flow of Divine energy.

Participants will also learn the bija (seed) sounds for the chakras and their corresponding elements, serving as a prelude and preparation for chanting the Gayatri Mantra. Following a short pranayama practice, participants will be immersed in the sounds and vibrations of crystal and Tibetan bowls, amplifying the opening of the chakras before moving into a Yoga Nidra for deep relaxation and healing.
